Our Philosophy

Our outplacement service and career transition philosophy is based on the belief that we can best serve a displaced employee by first understanding their situation and stabilizing their emotional stress.

The impact of job loss is tremendous. The loss of a job is never easy, even if it is expected. Unexpected job loss has a great emotional impact that is comparable to losing a loved one.

Why is coping with job loss so difficult? When we meet a new person, one of the first questions we ask is: "What do you do for a living?" It seems that much of our worth is wrapped up in the work we do. Our job becomes our identity - who we are. What we do becomes what we value! When we lose a job or are faced with a career change, we often feel we've lost our worth.

For both men and women, job loss will reflect on their personal value. It may be argued that we put too much value on the external image of a job and not enough on the internal dignity of being a human being. Yet, it is hard to see or feel dignity when their social identity and source of income is removed. Many researchers have ranked the stress of job loss with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) found in combat.  

In some instances former employees launch lawsuits because of their emotional stress and they may view this as a way of coping.

Our Services begin with helping overcome the emotional impact.

To accomplish this, we provide each displaced employee with a qualified job loss / stress therapist counselor with personalized one-on-one attention and support they require. Our Job Loss Counselor works to defuse the emotional impact and prepare the person to move forward.

Career Transition Counselor - The Job Seeking Coach

Once the displaced employee is stabilized emotional we can begin the process of job hunting  through our Career Transition Counselors coaching and the programs such as interview skill attainment, instilling networking skills and other items that are part of our services.

With each of our outplacement packages, the person receives one-on-one counselling with our Career Transition Counselor, who acts as their coach as well as advisor and teacher in preparing the person for "the job of seeking a new job".
